How to pick out the right artist for your next project

Art projects are no small undertaking if you have a need for an artist, then you have a lot to consider. First and foremost? Finding the right person for the job; there are many different artists out there with different avenues of experience and different techniques. For example, if you were to consider Andrew Wendels storyboard, you would need to view the art style, the flow, and the presentation to make sure it fits with your upcoming needs. What else do you need to think about? Below is a few factors to consider:

Artists Previous Work

There is nothing that tells a better story than the artists previous body of work. You can look at their quality, and most importantly, you can see how well they stuck to the subject matter which they were assigned.

Quality of Work

This is an obvious statement, but you need to make sure you are looking at any work that the artist created and that the quality is up to your standards. If you are having trouble telling, then it might be a good idea for you to compare it to other artists who work in similar areas. The big question is: do you like it? If you have any doubts, then it might be best to simply walk away.

Client Feedback

An artist is just like anyone else, whether they are working with canvas or with a program like Photoshop. In other words, artists still need to adhere to the needs of the client and in this regard, feedback will be very telling. For the most part, client feedback can be found online either in forums or on art commission sites. A good case in point is Andrew Wendels storyboard work.

Turnaround Time

Finally, examine the artists turnaround time. If they are unable to complete a work within the clients timeline, then there is a good chance that they are not going to perform any better for you.

If you follow these guidelines and refuse to settle for the first artist you find, then there is a good chance that you will find exactly what you are looking for. Dont give up!
